The Tri-Central 6th grade boys finished their season Wednesday night by splitting two games with Taylor.
The A-game was won by TC by a score of 33-27. Scoring was lead by Holden Rayl with 13 followed by 7 from both Mason Pickens and Conner Hindman. AJ Byrd tossed in 4 and Detlef Burke contributed 2. The game was not nearly as close as the score reflected as TC “called off the dogs” early in the 4th quarter and Taylor went on a 10-0 run. TC held off the charge and secured the win by dominating every aspect of the game.
The B-game was won by Taylor with a score of 19-1 with Justin Dyer scoring early on a free throw. Taylor implemented a full court press much of the game and played several of their A-game starters. Despite this, the boys never used this as an excuse and never quit and was able to make some big strides in breaking the press in the second half.
Overall the boys had a great season and took some big steps towards being successful varsity Trojan basketball players as well as great young men.
