Tri-Central Boys Varsity Soccer played a good game on Saturday, falling 2-8. Overall, the play has been improving, with the team working better together. First half, the Trojans scored one goal with Senior Nathan Mast putting the ball in with just over a minute left in the half. The Macqonaquah Braves scored 5 points in the half with 18 shots on goal. Senior GoalKeeper Luke Baird had 8 saves. TC had a total of 4 shots.
Second half, Macqonaquah took 14 shots, scoring 3 goals. TC was able to score a goal from a Penalty Kick by Junior Austin Barr. Sophomore Riley Jones was the goalkeeper for the half and had 5 saves. The game had several fouls committed, in particular by the Braves.
Next game is Tuesday Sept. 19 against Taylor H.S. at home.
