Tri-Central’s Girl’s track squad tied for 2nd place with Rossville in the TC Relays on Tuesday. The Lady Trojans finished with 42 points. Carroll took first place with 72 points. Leading the way for Tri-Central was Freshman Lily Stogdill who was a quadruple winner, taking the 100 m dash (13:37), the 200 m. dash (in a personal record 28:08), the long jump (with a personal record 14’6 3/4″) and anchoring the winning 4 x 100 m relay (57.65). Other winners for the Trojans included Julie Childers (winning the 400 m dash in 1:07 and taking part in the winning 4 x 100m relay) and Cassidy Colbert who took the shot put with a throw of 29’1″. Brittany Temple and Isabelle Abney also took part in the winning 4 x 100 relay. The Lady Trojans are now 4-3 on the season.
The boys team finished 3rd (17 points) to Rossville(86 points) and Carroll (52 points). Conner Hindman took 2nd in the shot put (37’4″) and 2nd in the discus(with a personal best 111’7″). Others scoring for the Trojans included Colin Byrd (4th in 110 hurdles), Holden Rayl (2nd in 100m, 4th in 200m), and Wade Weideman (2nd in the 800m and 4th in the 1600m). The boy’s squad is now 2-5 on the season.
