The Lady Trojans are your 2018 Regional Champions! In the semi-final, Tri-Central and Tri-High School engaged in a back and forth nip and tuck, evenly contested battle, that took a full 32 minutes to decide. Led by Nicole Sharp’s 13 points, TC knocked off the #8 Titans 43-41 to advance to the Regional Championship.

In the championship, the Rox came started out on an 8-0 run, but TC chipped away to trail by two at half. The Lady Trojans and Rox battled back and forth in the second half. TC led 31-29, and Rockville drilled a 3 to take their final lead at 31-32. That’s when senior Taylor Robison went on her own 6 point run including a clutch pull up jumper in the lane, and 4 straight free throws to put TC up 37-32. Freshman Kenadie Fernung put the game away, hitting two huge free throws with a 2 point lead, pushing the lead to 39-35, with 12 seconds remaining. Emily Richard led TC with 10 points, Sarah Quesada had 8 points, including 6 big points in the first quarter.

Tri-Central will play in the Valparaiso Semi-State this Saturday at 2:00 our time, (1:00 Central) against top-ranked Marquette Catholic. Looking forward to a lot of blue and gold in Valparaiso! On to the Final Four! TROJAN UP!
