The Tri-Central Girls track squad defeated North Miami 60-39 in a meet held at Tri-Central on Wednesday. The Lady Trojans were led by Freshman Lily Stogdill who took the 100 m dash (12:68), the 200 m dash (28:21), the long jump (13′ 7″) and anchored the winning 4 x 100 m relay (57.96). Other winners included Sophomore Julie Childers in the 400 m run (1:08) and Senior Jaide Cassity in the discus (80′ 9″).
The boys squad won impressively, 90-24. Holden Rayl was a triple winner for the Trojans, taking the 100m (in a personal best 11.74), the 200m (26.81) and the long jump15’00”). Other winners included Wade Weideman(800m-2:27), Cole Byrd (3200m-14:17), Colin Byrd (110 hurdles-19:46), Matthew Martin (300m hurdles52:74), Jacob Shively (400m-1:05) and Conner Hindman (discus-97’4″). Tri-Central will compete in the Eastern Relays this Saturday.
