The Tri-Central boys narrowly missed 2nd place in 4-way meet with Tipton (77 points), Elwood (50 points) and Liberty Christian (45 points). The Trojans tallied 49 points led by Conner Hindman’s win in the discus throw. Hindman also took 2nd in the shot put. Other places for the team included Holden Rayl (2nd in the 100m and 200m), Colin Byrd (3rd in 110m hurdles, 4th in 300m hurdles), Matthew Martin (3rd in 300m hurdles, 5th in 110m hurdles), Jeff Hilligoss (5th in 100m dash, 5th in 200m, 5th in long jump), Mason Parish (3rd in shot put and discus), ThJacob Shively (5th in 400m) and Wade Weidmen (4th in 800m)
The Girls Track squad finished 3rd in the meet. Elwood won the meet with 96 points, Tipton finished 2nd with 52 points, Tri-Central took 3rd with 38 points and Liberty Christian finished with 12 points. The lone winner for the Trojans was Shawna Carter who took the discus with a personal best throw of 87’2″. In addition, Lily Stogdill had 2nd place finishes in the long jump and 100m and a 3rd place in the 200m dash. Tri-Central is back in action at the Hoosier Heartland Conference meet on Friday.
